A clean-up day has been held on the Nant y Fedw Paths. These two paths lead down from Abercynon Road to Lower Nant y Fedw.
Teams from R.C.T Council and Trivallis Housing Association teamed up to clean up the paths. Overgrowth has been cut back, litter and fly-tipping picked up and leaves cleared from the paths.
The clean-up was conducted after residents raised the condition of the paths with us. In order to keep the path and our community tidy, we urge residents not to throw down litter and to report instances of fly-tipping and areas of overgrowth to us as soon as possible.

An ‘Environmental Day’ was held this week in the Ynysboeth area.
Teams from the R.C.T Council’s Streetcare and green spaces unit spent a day cleaning up and cutting back the land leading from Bryntirion to the main road near the Feelgood Factory.
Small trees and bushes that had grown onto the paths have been cut back. Over thirty bags of rubbish and litter were collected up by the Council’s teams. The teams will return to collect the small amount of litter left on the land. Further works to cut back small trees and bushes are also planned.
This Environmental Day is the latest in a rolling programme of community clean-up activities planned across the whole of Abercynon Ward. We will keep to the pledge that we made to residents during the election last year and focus on cleaning up areas throughout the Abercynon Ward.
